Public Mobile's unlimited talk and text service is now available in
Markham and will be available in Richmond Hill and Vaughan in early
May. Since its initial launch in Toronto last summer, Public Mobile has
been working to expand network service throughout the area. Network
coverage in the Greater Toronto area now stretches from Hamilton to
Oshawa.
On March 31st, 2011 Public Mobile announced Unlimited
Province-Wide Talk for $15 per month, a move that is expected to shake
up the Canadian telecom industry and make home phones and prepaid cards a
thing of the past. "Why would anyone want to continue paying for
costly home phones or the high cost of prepaid wireless rates, when they
can talk all they want for $15 a month?" said Alek Krstajic, CEO of
Public Mobile.
"Canadians have been paying crazy prices for
years, and we're saying that's over now. Public Mobile wants to give
people in Ontario and Quebec simplicity, fairness and value," added
Krstajic.
Public Mobile has 82 exclusive stores in Ontario and
48 exclusive stores in Quebec. In total, Public Mobile's unlimited
network now covers approximately 8 million people.

offers unlimited, flat rate plans starting at $15 per month – that's the
lowest monthly price available for unlimited talk. Public Mobile
customers can also use their phones from coast to coast. Public Mobile
offers the lowest price in Canada for roaming at just 15 cents per
minute. When roaming, outgoing text messages are 15 cents each and
incoming text messages are free. And later this month, Public Mobile
will launch $5 unlimited email service along with its first wireless
data device, the BUZZ. Public Mobile set out to change Canadian
