Fixmo, the mobile risk management (MRM) company, today announced the appointment of Daniel Ford as its first Chief Security Officer. Ford brings over fifteen years of information security and risk management experience, including an extensive history running security programs within the U.S. federal government.

Mobile Risk Management is an emerging category of technology solutions designed to empower organizations to manage their mobile devices while protecting them from security threats and ensuring compliance.

As Chief Security Officer, Ford will utilize his experience in information security, data loss prevention, endpoint security and policy governance to ensure that the Fixmo MRM platform continues to address the growing set of security threats and vulnerabilities associated with mobile devices.

Prior to joining Fixmo, Ford has led security teams and programs at McAfee, Nominum, BAE Systems, SRA, Unisys and Accuvant where he held the position of Chief Technologist for Federal Government Solutions. During his career to date, Ford created the first approved Enterprise Security Architecture and strategy for eAuthentication for Department of Energy and re-architected the security system for a logistics program within the U.S. army.
